AT&T has launched AT&T Video Share which lets users of the service share live video via their mobile phones. This marks a significant move in the mobile video space. Mobile video is likely to become an important differentiator in the mobile space going forward.

In a move to provide more accurate measurement of users engagement in a Web 2.0 world, Nielsen is now tracking “Total Minutes” and “Total Sessions”. This allows them to present a better picture of what users are experiencing online as users consume more Flash and Ajax applications. It will be interesting to see how this metric effects online advertising, much of which is still sold on a CPM basis.

Interesting research about second tier video sites. There is plenty of room in the online video marketplace. I just don’t think there is going to be another YouTube any time soon.
